The Bible as our life manual
Whenever we buy appliances, computers, gadgets, cars, etc. it always comes with a User's Manual. Why? This serves as guide on how to use the things we bought. On proper operation, specifications and maintenance care. It that case we can use the product properly and may last longer.
When God made man, He also made a User's Manual for as human to use as guide on how we will live our life. From waking up in the morning, going to work, eating, every single thing we do in our everyday life; the Bible is our guide.
Did they really exist?
If scientific evidences doesn't convinced you, because maybe of the question "how did human survived then if dinosaurs exist?" here's the Bible's answer. In the book of Genesis 1:21, "And God created great whales and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind; and God saw that it was good." and in verse 24, And God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth after his kind”; and it was so. Remember that God made these creatures before man. Some of you will say, "then God made man in verse 26 so the dinosaurs will eat them". Am I right? But you might need to think again. God love man that He gave His only begotten Son to save us and let the dinosaurs eat or kill humans? There is no logic on that. The truth is, God made Man after these creatures extincts. Because "time" of God is different from our "time". His one day is not equivalent to 24 hours of that of man. 1 day of God may be equivalent to millions years for man.
You still believe it, don't you?
For your info, Pope Benedict XVI scrapped the centuries old Roman Catholic concept of purgatory 9 years ago. As we all know, purgatory is a state between Heaven and hell where unbaptized children's souls go according to the doctrine. But that pope said children goes to heaven instead (Thank God).
For what I learned from my high school teacher, this is one of those doctrines we inherent from catholic teachings when the Spaniards colonized Philippines from 1521 to 1898. That's why Filipinos then were force to follow the doctrine fear of their child(ren) will go straight to hell when died unbaptized. And we still do, I mean you (some... don't mean to offend anyone). So why they insist this teaching? Because you need to pay for the ritual and it's a good source of fund for the church. Just like marriage and other catholic rituals.
Just remember what the scripture said in
Luke 18:15-17. And don't forget our national hero Dr. Jose Rizal died because he revealed in one of his books the truth that there's no single mention in the Bible about purgatory.
We are lucky than him because he needs to read the whole bible to justify what he wrote on his novels. Not like us today that in one click, we can search a word or phrase in the bible thru the aid of computers.
Let's not waste his heroic sacrifice to tell as the truth...
